Lost Down Down Footage 1975 with Francis playing a strat (!)

Hi There,

In 1975 Quo toured Europe and the Spanish television recorded and aired their Madrid gig.

On Youtube you can see that just when Francis straps on a strat and announces Down Down (18:55) the recording skips to 
Big Fat Mama.

1. Does anybody have the missing Down Down footage?
   
2. Is there any record of that strat?

Thanks for replying!
I know that video. It's actually a Playback version of the song for television.

In the meanwhile I've been doing a bit of researching myself. On the Spanish TV recording there's an apology ( in Spanish ) for the poor quality of the recording.
I think the Spanish TV f***ked up and didn't record Down Down that night. Or the original tapes were lost. Pity. Too little footage of Quo in the Seventies.
If you find any, I'd be very interested.

Hello francislaw63 that is shame that footage was messed up on the night, I think a common practice was to wipe tapes and reuse them like some old tv programs in the UK.

I found an image from that tour of him playing the Strat from the video, modded to include Tele pickups, sadly no video or audio aside from that brief bit of tuning before the video cuts. imgur.com/a/xvqStVo

While I'm here, the Down Down tele, the only one of the 3 greens he still has, has the bridge pickup plate of a guitar once loaded with a Bigsby, could well be the one from the above video after refinishing and pickup changes, initially to standard tele pickups then later to Lace Sensors, as it still is. They only one where the typical neck and middle position pickups are reversed and the neck wasn't replaced with a Seymour Duncan Cool Rail around 2007.
