25 years on. Ah the World has change so much in my life. like 3 years before I started to learn the Guitar dam and even joining a quo trib band ! feck!
My 1st taste of Status Quo live. I was 17 and I took a friend along from School to see them. I was very exited to see them on the Tv at 12pm and watched it.
Then I headed of in the down pore of Rain. I was wearing my pride a joy Denim jacket with Status Quo patches on it. Once at the venue we were searched by the security guards ahah. The seat we had was at the very top of the arena a very poor view of the stage. I think clyde one was hosing a live show and there was a chance to win a Signed Guitar !! I think there was some sort of other comptions goig and speaking to fans on the stage.
Then the Main show stared, the lights was turned off and a the Ball room Globe was spiining and very sparkly Rock till you drop record was played then the curtains came down , and a mighty flash of light and Down Down was bursting with Energy and we srated to head bang all the way through the set.
What an amazing feeling it had on us that Night that was never to be matched again.
Then I bought my 1st Status Quo T shirt and pin badges. After the show the rain was chucking it down and ended walking on the Car ramp! .
Then we headed off to my friends House and got fed.
It feel werid now that Rick Parfait has had to call it a day. This reminds me of great years that followed thogh through time I was getting bored by the Quo.
But I am so pleased that young ones like me had a chance to see the FF and the meet and great was a special time that is 2nd best thing to RTYD.
