Bar 1 is the E major and bar 2 E minor ( the star indicates the notes we are using )
If we use these scales we get
R=E Major or Minor scale 5th= B= Major or Minor scale 6th= C# Major scale 7th= D Minor scale
Bar 3 is all the 4 notes ( Line one of bar 3 is were all the E note lie or the Guitar , HENCE THIS IS NOT A CHORD ) hence each line is were each of the notes a can found( we will ignore beyong the 12t fret)
Bar 4 is an E 5 power chord Root and the 5th we can see that chord is not Major on Minor ( look at the scale R and 5th )
Bar 5 we add the 6th note a straight 8 patern ( 8 groups of 1/8 notes ) Bar 6 we add the 6th and 7th to it
Let`s say we want to play lead or finger picking. Bar 7 to Bar 11 is all these 4 notes E,B, C# and D. To make life simple i left the Root note the 6th string. We can use that in finger picking syke, so we can hit the 6th Open and let`s us have free hand to pick out the Boogie on the rest of the strings.
Once you are happy with that idea, then try and use the Open Strings ( A,D, G).
Have fun with this take care and Rock a Rock Rock.
