A few years ago when the official status quo message board was still flying high, there was a general consensus that a musicians forum would be good.
So being a bit of an IT geek I created the status quo musicians forum.
Quomanuk has been my most loyal visitor and contributor along the way. The vast majority of videos and pdf sheets have either been created by him or sourced by him.
It is fair to say that this forum would probably not exist without his hard work.
I am a Quo fan, and a bedroom guitar player, but really I set this up just to do the IT work and let others run with it. With more and more pressure at my day job it is time for me to let go.
I am overjoyed that QuomanUk has agreed to take over ownership of the forum to keep it going, and hopefully take it further than I could
I will stay around as an ordinary member, but Gordon is now God around these parts
Please all, continue to support the forum and more importantly support Gordon - he really is a top fella!
Thank RR for all the time and dedication that was needed to set up the old site ( and this ). I wish you well for the future. RR thank you as you helped me develop and pile of news skills, like
using Gp5 to devlop tabs and midi`s DM software that helped to find chord tone Comm skill via Youtube that forced me to try and breakdown songs and talk about them Other poster that helped me to learn tunings( OTE foe example) woeking with other nuso like Hardquo, Jamie and 2 trib bands as a guest meeting new musos and that helped to improve on my weakness
I have been thinking of what i can do next to improve this site.
1 Learning basic Guitar skils as a priavte tube video for this site only Hence these skill can be applied to the TABS.
I think in the past there was far too many videos
plan would learing RH strumming techniques
1 Power chord shape 2 adding RH ( Straight 8ths, triplets, shuffle and 16ths ) 3 adding the booige 6th and 7ths 4 Staccato (Ice in the Sun good example of that )
Tuning lessons ie (Drop D, B tuning and Open G)
All of these would help with TABS on this site(
There is more advace chords (Bar chords)
Each lesson would have a discussion and play through and TAB. I think a basic MIDI drum beat to help with timing.
Please feel free to ask questions, i will try my upmost to help.
