Mine was 1977 in Blackpool Opera house at the grand old age of 15. I went with a school friend, his mother drove us down. I was dismayed after the gig when she said she had watched it all from the back because the doorman let her in for free!
Great gig though. My main memory was being blown away by 4500x, It just went on and on. I "headbanged" for the whole song. Was knackered after that and mainly sat and watched - lol - the exuberance of youth
And I saw they were supported by "Nutz" that year, and that rang a bell
My dream for the end of Quo - to see every member of the band past and present on the same stage at the last ever gig. As the encore ends, they all stand on the stage in the "Tank" formation with teles playing Rick's intro to Caroline as the stage sinks from view in dry ice .
Sep 21st 1991 RTYD four venues in one day. I was 17 and still and Secondary School. 12 pm BBC Tv launched the day in style. I was very exited that day. The rain was pouring down , i was soaked right through. I got to SECC When waiting for the qou to come on , radio clyed wad there , and there was a chance to win a Signed Guitar !!! no luck oh well. My seat was at the top, the view was terrible. The light went out, the mirror was gleaming and RTYD was playing in the backdrop.
BANG WALLOP SMASH BOOM!!!!!!
Down Down blasted out , and the blues brothers feeling took over. I stared to head bang, arm flapping about , jumping up and down and ernn singing along ??
I bought my Quo T shirt and then found out they were playing in November !!!! YAS!!!
What a great feeling that was, that convinced to get a Guitar ( had to 3 years to get one ).
That was best concert i have been too. FF was not a patch on that feeling of 1st ever one.
Saturday 8th December 1990 at the SECC in Glasgow.
They played 'Imagine' by John Lennon over the PA before the band came on as it was ten years since he'd died.

Reading Festival '78. Still remember travelling from Paddington to Reading on a high speed train with a bunch of pished (in their language) Scotsmen pissing out the open carriage door at 125 mph! Good effort since a Quo banner was lying between carriages!
