Electric guitar player Rick Parfitt has revealed he wants to see a Status Quo musical take to the stage.
The Fender Telecaster player said it would be a "fantastic idea" to combine Quo hits with a story in the same way that Queen have with their hit musical We Will Rock You.
However, Parfitt stated that any storyline should be heavily grounded in the real-life history of the long-running group, which is currently on tour in the UK.
"It would be about how we met at Butlins and the story of the band," he commented.
Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, Parfitt added that he would be far more interested in staging a musical than starring in a proposed movie with Status Quo frontman Francis Rossi.
Status Quo have so far notched up more than 60 hit singles over the last 41 years, including Pictures of Matchstick Men, Down Down, In My Chair and Rockin' All Over the World.
My dream for the end of Quo - to see every member of the band past and present on the same stage at the last ever gig. As the encore ends, they all stand on the stage in the "Tank" formation with teles playing Rick's intro to Caroline as the stage sinks from view in dry ice .
